It is not always easy to put your finger on the problem in your shoulder. However, shoulder problems do tend to cause pain in typical locations and the pain is often worse while moving, or just after moving your shoulder. Lift your arm slowly in front of you over your head (as far as you can) and bring it down again. Think where you feel the most pain in your shoulder either during, or just after the movement.
