Lockdown 3 - Coronavirus (COVID-19) Patient Update

With the start of Lockdown 3 we should like to clarify what we can still offer to you.

1: Outpatient Clinics with Mr Granville-Chapman are still running and attendance at medical appointments is allowed under the lockdown rules.

2: If you prefer not to come in person, we can arrange telephone or video consultations. Remote consultations work well in general, but there are of course limitations with respect to clinical examination, reviewing imaging together and interventions, such as injections.

3: All outpatients clinics employ ‘Covid-secure’ pathways, with temperature checks, arrival symptom questionnaires, social distancing, co-ordinated in-car waiting, mask wearing and enhanced cleaning. Medical staff are all tested for COVID at least weekly. Mr Granville-Chapman, with whom you are likely to be in closest contact, is tested twice weekly and has been vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine due to his role in the NHS.

4: Sadly, but understandably, planned surgery has been temporarily suspended by the private hospitals and we are told this will be reviewed weekly.  We all hope this will resume very soon. If you are on my waiting list for surgery, Kate will be in touch with updates as things change. We are very sorry if your scheduled date for surgery changes and we’ll do everything we can to minimise disruption and delay.

I hope you remain safe and healthy and do get in touch by emailing my secretary Kate on info@windsorupperlimb.com or calling 07920 168131 to see if we can be of assistance.
